Our village May Fair is opened by a traditional May Day Battle to herald Spring, when Winter’s Ice Queen is banished by Spring’s Green Man. To bring this battle to life, we are thrilled that local professional Fight Director Amy Bolger Floyd will direct and choreograph again this year.

We are looking for children (aged over 8yrs), young people and adults to take part in the battle as either ice sprites or woodland folk.

There will be three rehearsals at Colkins Mill Church, Station Road, Mayfield TN20 6BT:

4:30-5:30 Tuesday 23rd April
4:30-5:30 Tuesday 30th April
4:30-5:30 Tuesday 7th May

Parents need to stay for the rehearsals.

There will also be a last minute run through on the day of the May Fair on Saturday 11th May.  The May Fair takes place on the village High Street, from 1pm to 4pm.
